About the Company
We are a fast-growing retail and wholesale distribution business operating in a high-performance warehouse and operational environment. Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for a hands-on Junior HR Business Partner to support our warehouse and operational teams.
Job Purpose
The Junior HRBP will provide practical, day-to-day HR support across general HR operations, recruitment, and warehouse employment relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily HR support to warehouse and operational managers, ensuring consistent application of company policies, accurate record-keeping, performance management support, and compliance with labour legislation.
- Manage the recruitment process for various roles, including drafting job specs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting checks, preparing offers, and facilitating onboarding.
- Support and manage disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution in line with company policy and labour law, ensuring fair and procedurally sound outcomes.
- Maintain accurate employee documentation, support payroll-related HR inputs, monitor absenteeism trends, and assist with HR reporting and workforce data management.
- Build strong working relationships with warehouse leadership and employees, support engagement initiatives, and act as a trusted HR contact within the operational environment.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom / Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
- 2–4 years’ HR experience (warehouse, retail, or manufacturing preferred).
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Experience handling disciplinary processes.
- Recruitment experience.
