Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and organized Dispatch Supervisor to join our team in the warehouse. The Dispatch Supervisor will assist all aspects of the dispatch operations within our warehouse facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating dispatch activities, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing efficiency to meet operational needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
    Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities, including order picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
    Assign tasks and responsibilities to dispatch staff, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training as needed to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
    Maintain proper inventory levels and storage organization to facilitate efficient order picking and packing operations.
    Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials and adherence to safety protocols during loading and unloading.
    Collaborate with inventory control and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory counts, resolve discrepancies, and optimize stock availability for order fulfilment.
    Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and address any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
    Utilize dispatch management systems and software tools to track orders, monitor performance metrics, and generate reports to evaluate operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
    Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dispatch operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
    Investigate and resolve customer inquiries or complaints related to order fulfilment, delivery status, or product quality, providing timely and effective communication and resolution.
    Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with other departments to address operational challenges, implement process improvements, and support business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications:

    Matric
    Proven experience in dispatch operations, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience.
    Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure.
    Proficiency in using dispatch management systems and software tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
