We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sales Supervisor to support the Sales Manager in driving operational efficiency and team performance.
The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organised, and confident working across systems, data, and cross-functional teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate reporting, and consistent execution of sales processes.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations & Systems Management
- Develop a strong understanding of internal SMD systems and processes, including quotations, sales orders, CRM systems, and the uploading of pricing and promotional specials.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all system-related processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Support reporting, pricing analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Pricing & Forecast Support
- Support the preparation and distribution of price lists, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and management of sales forecasts.
Communication & Collaboration
- Exhibit strong communication skills and effectively engage with cross-functional departments.
- Review and approve marketing email communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand integrity.
Team Support & Leadership Backup
- Provide support to the team in the absence of the Sales Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
- Assist with team alignment and execution of key processes.
Meetings & Representation
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Sales Manager when required.
- Represent the team professionally and ensure clear feedback and follow-up actions.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
Leadership & Professional Conduct
- Lead by example through fairness, consistency, accountability, and strong time management practices.

Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in a sales support, operations, or similar role
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
- People management experience is advantageous
- Minimum qualification: Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
