About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Special Projects to join our team. This is a high-impact role suited for a strategic thinker with exceptional project execution skills, strong financial and mathematical acumen, and the ability to manage diverse, business-critical initiatives.
As the Head of Special Projects, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of high-priority projects across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure each project is completed on time, within scope, and delivers measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute a wide range of strategic and operational projects across the business.
- Develop detailed project plans, define scope, set objectives, and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Analyse data, budgets, and financial projections to support informed decision-making.
- Present project proposals, updates, and results to executive stakeholders.
- Apply structured, logical thinking to solve problems and drive innovation.
- Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to optimise outcomes.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Mitigate risks and resolve project issues swiftly and effectively.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (essential).
- A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
- 4 -5 years’ proven experience in leading complex projects, ideally in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong financial and mathematical skills, with the ability to analyse and present data confidently.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute with discipline.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain composed in high-stress situations.
