Sales Consultant Job Spec 

The sales consultant is responsible for handling the independent client accounts in the company. The consultant must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all independent client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for clients are met, and help the client succeed. The sales consultant will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and develop new relationships with potential clients.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between independent clients and companies.
  • Resolving independent client issues and complaints
  • Collaborating with sales team to maximise profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  •  Expanding relationships and bringing in new clients

Requirements and Qualifications: 
  • Sales experience (2 – 3 years)
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, work, excel, etc..)
  • Knowledge of an accounting package advantageous (eg: Pastel/SAP)
  • Able to multi-task, manage multiple accounts, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
