Role Overview:
The Category Sales Specialist for Networking (TP Link and Tapo) is responsible for managing the performance and growth of the Networking category (focusing on TP Link and Tapo brands) across key retail partners. Executive oversight of other accounts, including but not limited to Takealot, independents and key online channels continues. The role focuses on driving sales, optimizing pricing strategies, and ensuring competitive costing, while fostering strong relationships with key retail accounts. The Category Sales Specialist Assistant will report into this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Management:
Manage the networking categories, focusing on TP Link and Tapo.
Monitor category performance, ensuring consistent sales growth and market share gains.
Work closely with retail partners to align on category strategy, pricing, promotional activities, range planning and orders. Ensuring that all are approved by TP Link prior.
Work with TP Link to ensure orders are placed timeously and retailer orders are fulfilled.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
Drive sales performance by executing strategic sales plans and achieving revenue targets for TP Link and Tapo brands.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers and category managers.
Conduct regular store visits to ensure optimal product placement, merchandising, and promotional compliance for networking products.
Costing & Pricing:
Continuously analyze and manage costing structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability of TP Link and Tapo products.
Work on pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and maintaining profitability while remaining competitive.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast pricing scenarios and adjust to market conditions.
Retail Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for retail accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting them in achieving sales objectives.
Negotiate terms, promotions, and pricing agreements with TP Links input and approval.
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
Track and report on sales performance for TP Link and Tapo products, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on category performance.
Utilize data to forecast sales, track competitor activity, and make recommendations for pricing or product adjustments.

The Category Sales Specialist Assistant will report into this role to assist with orders for the accounts.
